Item Description
SUPERB, this very rich, 360-degree specimen of Meta-autunite is from the TYPE LOCALITY, the Daybreak Mine in Washington state. The yellow-green, tetragonal blades range from individuals stacked into en echelon clusters, to crystals that then merge into excellent, fan-like clusters that appear almost foliated. The colors are rich, and the fluorescence is, to say the least, vivid. Classics such as these were mined primarily in the 1950s out of small seams within the host granite. I've seen bigger, but I am not sure I have seen a better Meta-autunite MINIATURE of such aesthetics, especially considering that this piece is so aesthetic from any direction. valued $1250
