Type Locality mendipite from the namesake Mendip Hills is EXTREMELY RARE and is seldom on the market. Mendipite is a rare Pb-oxyhalide. This very rich and hefty for the size solid mendipite specimen is composed of pearlescent gray to off-white columnar crystals. Rich lead ore. Mass is 90 grams.
