Item Description
A classic example of these fine quality Mendipites (named after the Mendip Hills in England where the species was first found) featuring pale pinkish colored cleavage masses which are associated with dark grey Kentrolite on matrix. Mendipite has an interesting chemistry, as it's a lead oxyhalide, and one of the few of its kind the mineral world (compare Damaraite). A good quality specimen of this rare and distinctive material from the area where it was first discovered.
