Mendipite is an extremely rare halide mineral, and the first specimens got their name form the original discovery in the Mendip Hills of Somerset, England. This large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen features pale pinkish-white colored, layered / parallel growth crystals of Mendipite associated with grey-brown Calcite. How often does one have a chance to purchase a good quality piece of this super rare mineral from the type locality?? A really cool combo / association piece and a must have for any rare species collector.
