Mineral specimens from this obscure Bulgarian sulfide mine are uncommon on the market. Galena and chalcopyrite combination specimens are RARE. This dramatic large plate features striking, 3-dimensional, matte-finish, "melted-look" galena crystals aesthetically set on a matrix of iridescent, massive chalcopyrite. The surreal base of intergrown, contacted, but undamaged galena crystals looks like something out of science fiction or from an M.C. Escher print! Rare, excellent, rich and hefty sulfide ore at 705 grams or 1.6 pounds.
