Item Description
Melilite refers to a group of tetragonal calcium soro-silicates consisting of eight species. This is rare material, and this particular piece is a classic specimen from this historic locality at Podhora where Olivine nephelinites are found. This specimen hosts brownish-green "Melilite" and according to the label is associated with Augite and Nepheline. This piece comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
