Item Description

Melanotekite is an ULTRA RARE lead, iron silicate and this nearly solid melanotekite specimen is from the world famous Type Locality - the extremely complex manganese-iron deposit at Langban, Sweden. Scintillating, brassy melanotekite crystals richly cover all sides of the skarn matrix. Hefty at 115 grams. Comes with a faded Burminco label, which dates the piece to the 1950s to 70s.
