Item Description
Matrix aragonite specimens are RARE and desirable from this much less well-known aragonite locale. A striking terminated, Devils Postpile-like tiered column of moderately translucent lavender and gray sixling-twinned pseudo-hexagonal aragonite crystals rests on the rare crystallized calcite matrix. The column is complete all-around and pristine. Rare and choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased in 1977 from the Rock Hut in Leadville, Colorado.
