Item Description

Marshite is a very rare halide (copper iodide) first discovered at Broken Hill in 1892. It was named after C.W. Marsh, an Australian who first described the mineral. This piece features sharp, lustrous, micro beige colored octahedral crystals of Marshite associated with Cuprite and a bit of green fibrous Malachite and smoky colored Cerussite. A great rarity and a cool micro specimen for collectors
