Item Description
Startling, 360-degree, mounded globular mass of intergrown, lustrous brassy-bronzy marcasite botryoids from the much less well-known LaFarge Quarry of Iowa. Complete all-around and pristine. Specimens from this limestone quarry along the Mississippi River are RARE compared to those from the very well-known adjacent Linwood Mine, which has produced outstanding barite and calcite specimens. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock and valued by Les at $450. An exceptional and rare style marcasite from the locale.
