Item Description

Texas is not necessarily known for its mineral specimens, so they are somewhat sought after by collectors. This piece is one of the best Marcasites from Bell County that I've seen. It really reminds me of Marcasite that I've seen from Sokolov in the Czech Republic. Several razor-sharp, lustroush, bright silvery-gold metallic crystallized "blades" are intergrown to create an aesthetic and attractive little thumbnail display specimen. Very good condition all the way around, and striking for a simple Marcasite specimen. Another plus is that the piece isn't tarnished and dull like many we've seen from this area. If you're a US mineral collector, or a Marcasite collector, do not miss out on this one. Valued for the quality and obscurity. Enjoy.
