Item Description
A gorgeous "hedgehog"-like specimen from the 1980s heyday here with a blastingly intense fluorescence, and rich deep pink color in normal light as well. Totally covering one side of the matrix are clusters of spiky, translucent, pink colored, manganocalcite crystals to 5 cm in length. The crystals fluoresce a bright orange color. A very large and dramatic specimen, overall, that just has more 3-dimensional pizzazz than most from here. An older piece, from the Tom Wolfe calcite collection. It is beautiful in all light, fluorescent or ultraviolet! (photos show both short, and longwave)
