Item Description
Gemmy and lustrous, highly coveted, beautiful grape-purple, manganoan vesuvianite crystals richly invest the vuggy matrix on this very showy and uncommon combination specimen from the famous and now-closed Jeffrey Mine. The piece also hosts rare, pearlescent, gray-blue, laminar plates of pectolite and a bit of muscovite. Pectolite is the calcium analogue of serandite and is a member of the wollastonite group of mineral species. Valued at $250-350.
