Item Description
Gemmy and lustrous, vivid lavender manganoan vesuvianite specimens are highly coveted from the famous and now-closed Jeffrey Mine. Scintillating crystals to 1.5 cm cover all sides of the piece and are very aesthetically accented with pearlescent muscovite books and plates and glassy, yellow-green, diopside crystals. This is a very fine and showy combination specimen from this renowned locale. Valued $500-600. Such purely purple pieces with ANY size of crystal showing, are very rare from this now closed mine. This is, to me, the most desirable color of vesuvianite as I see it - as it appears nowhere else.
