Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this less well-known West Camp mine in famed Santa Eulalia, compared to the more famous neighbors, such as the Potosi and San Antonio mines. The very sculptural, aesthetic and pristine large rosette is composed of densely intergrown "petals" of glassy, translucent, crenulated, flattened calcite rhombs. The colorless to light pink calcites have faint pink fluorescence. Ex Gary Weaver Collection. This is a RARE, exotic and beautiful large style of calcite from Mina Vieja.
