Item Description

Neon-orange fluorescence characterizes this classic disk-shaped manganoan calcite rhomb from famous Dal'negorsk. The very glassy, translucent, pretty pastel-pink rhomb is pristine and is nicely accented on both sides at the base with pyrrhotite crystals, siderite botryoids and matrix. Dal'negorsk, like Tsumeb, is renowned for calcite diversity and quality and this is a very fine two-sided classic from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The piece dates from the 1990s to early 2000s.
