Item Description
An impressive and pretty, large intergrown pair of twinned manganoan calcite rhombs from recent finds at this remote and important Chinese locale. The sharp, tabular, hexagonal rhombs are lustrous and translucent, with pretty pastel-pink color. The twinning plane is visible at the crest of each crystal. The prism faces have a striking, stepped-growth scalloped look, while the edges faces are smooth. The best side, with the side car crystal is pristine. Nearly pristine overall, with only very light bruising to one edge on one side on the back. Nicely displayable from either side. Neon-orange fluorescence. Choice material resembling classic Dal'negorsk manganoan calcites. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
