Calcite specimens from this famous Greek island, renowned for quartz prases included with green actinolite, not hedenbergite (Hyrsl and Niedermayr, 2003), are extremely rare. A fine manganon calcite TWIN is VERY RARE! The very sharp, aesthetic twinned crystals are translucent, pastel-pink and have frosted faces. Moderate neon-orange fluorescence. Complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only three modest spots of out-of-sight bruising on the back. The former dealer label has a $395 price tag. Exceptional and rare calcite from this well-known locale.
