Item Description
Mineral specimens are RARE from the obscure lead-zinc Atacocha Mine of Peru. This striking large combination is dominated by fantastic well-placed arborescent sprays of frosted bone-white manganoan calcite scalenohedrons. The interesting rich mounded sulfide ore matrix consists mainly of frosted melted-look sphalerite richly sprinkled with small, sparkly, sharp galena crystals plus scattered brassy pyrite, which is mostly on the back of the piece.
