Item Description

Exotic and RARE combination material from the famous Wessels Mine. A sculptural 7.0 cm vug in layered manganese ore matrix is strikingly dominated by a well-placed 2.0 cm ball of pearlescent, pretty pastel-pink manganoan calcite rhombs. The vug is lined with smaller balls and rose-pink rhodochrosite crystals. RARE scintillating drusy quartz covers much of the rhodochrosite, adding a striking spectral difference to the piece. The label indicates there may also be some datolite in the lining of the vug. VERY RARE, showy and outstanding combination material from the locale. NEON-PINK fluorescence.
