An impressive, sculptural and rare large manganoan calcite from this less well-known Honduras Pb-Zn-Ag mine, the largest mine in Central America. Light lavender-pink, parallel-growth doubly terminated crystals are dramatically stacked on this exceptional and rare style calcite from this locale. I really like the way the two largest crystals, to 10.8 cm, are set at the top of the piece. In excellent shape, overall. You barely notice trivial bruising and some gently cleaved tips on the larger crystals. Neon-orange fluorescence! Ex Charles Noll Collection.
