Item Description
An impressive and pretty large pastel-pink, 6.5 x 5.6 cm, corsage of tiny, spiky manganese-bearing calcite crystals dramatically dominates this sculptural and very aesthetic large combination from this well-known polymetallic district in Peru. Contrasting sparkly, bright, brassy pyritohedrons, to 3 mm, are richly studded on the undulating matrix of glassy, translucent quartz points to 3.4 cm. Bright pink LW UV fluorescence. Pachapaqui is famous for Mn-calcite, rhodochrosite and bournonite specimens. An outstanding and very aesthetic large Mn-calcite, Quartz and Pyrite combination from the locale.
