Manganoan Calcite & Quartz on Galena (Cynthia Payne Coll.)

Item Description

Two intergrown clusters of stacked, translucent, pastel-pink, nailhead manganoan calcite rhombs are aesthetically atop a metallic-gray, melted-look galena cuboctahedron. The field of sparkly quartz points on one side is a nice accent to this showy and excellent 360-degree combination from the famous mines at Dal'negorsk. Light bruising to the rhombs is noted, but is certainly only a modest detraction. Ex Cynthia Payne Collection. Neon-orange fluorescence.
