Item Description
An excellent and very aesthetic combination piece from a New Find at this remote Chinese locale. A 6.6 cm, tabular, hexagonal, manganoan calcite rhomb with highly luster, translucence and pretty pastel-pink color very aesthetically rests on nubby quartz. The quartz, in fact, is casted after a long dissolved away calcite rhomb. The rhomb is complete all-around, front and back and is essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of scattered edge wear. A very fine calcite, that compares with classic Dalnegorsk material. This remote skarn deposit is producing an impressive variety of fine specimens. Get good ones while you can. Who knows how long they will last. Super neon-orange fluorescence.
