Very pretty, lustrous and translucent, pastel-pink, nailhead calcite rhombs cover the large sculptural, undulating matrix on this very fine old-timer from this less well-known Cumbria Mine. Specimens are rare and are seldom available. This is an extremely fine calcite for this locale and is probably around 100 years old or more, but no proof. Ex. J.G.
