Item Description

A striking, large, pretty pastel-pink manganoan calcite crystal from the new find in Inner Mongolia. The lustrous and translucent, parallel-growth, diverging crystal has a bladed lower section with unusual looking, stepped-growth terminations. This V-shaped piece has looks like a two-necked ancient Greek amphora or tall jar. Complete all-around. The right termination is cleaved and a bit of bruising, all on the back, are noted. A highly representative large example from the find. The crystal is so glassy. SUPER orange-pink fluorescence! MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
