Item Description
Manganaon calcite is rare from this well-known Peruvian mine. Helictites are limestone cave formations that changes its axis from the vertical at one or more stages during its growth. They have a curving or angular form that looks as if they were grown in zero gravity. This is a striking, intricate bridgework of pretty pastel-pink columnals of stacked rhombs on manganoan calcite crust. A dramatic specimen, that looks like a nest of small bones or Tinker Toys. You barely notice the scattered broken stalk tips. This is very rare and fine material from this mine. Faint fluorescence.
