An impressive and expressive large manganoan calcite combination piece from a 2006 find at this famous Dal'negorsk mine. Intergrown, large, glassy, translucent, tabular, pastel-pink manganoan calcite rhombs to 6.7 cm are strikingly accented with a 4.2 cm, splendent, layered, sphalerite "corsage", more fringing sphalerite and a nifty, sharp, mirror-bright, 1.5 cm, galena crystal. The many calcites are pristine and the sphalerite corsage is nearly so, with only trivial periphery wear. This is a classic and very fine Dal'negorsk calcite combination piece with several fine display possibilities. SUPER neon-orange fluorescence!! Valued at $900.
