Item Description
Two, striking, large, intergrown, translucent, silky-luster, pastel-pink manganoan calcite rhombs are very jauntily set on an elongated ball of matrix covered with cream-colored, flattened, pokerchip calcite crystals and yet another generation of calcite (this one in very thin, wafer-like, water-clear to translucent, highly lustrous, colorless, hexagonal, calcite crystals). This cluster of wafer calcite crystals is 4.3 cm across. The larger, V-shaped rhombs are 10.5 cm across! The manganoan calcites are in super shape, overall. One side or end of the manganoan calcites is contacted, but is essentially out of sight -- the rest is pristine. This very impressive CABINET specimen, with SUPER orange fluorescence, is from the 2nd Sovietskiy Mine at Dalnegorsk and from finds around 2007. Outstanding material from this noted locale. Eminently displayable from several different views! Valued at $1500 MINIMUM. In person, it is more 3-dimensional and imposing than the photos convey
