An impressive and highly aesthetic large combination from recent finds at this now famous remote Chinese mine. A 12.7 cm wide cluster of large, pretty pastel-pink, translucent, parallel-growth flattened, nailhead manganoan calcite rhombs with nifty frosted secondary overgrowth are dramatically perched on a striking, 3-dimensional cluster of frosted quartz points. Strikingly, the quartz crystals have smooth termination faces above preferentially etched prism faces! The calcite is complete all-around and pristine all the major quartz points are also pristine. You barely notice the basal periphery wear to the quartz. Neon-orange fluorescence! Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $175, for free.
