Striking, large, blocky, poker chip manganoan calcite rhombs are aesthetically clustered on this excellent and aesthetic piece from Dal'negorsk. The translucent rhombs have silky luster and nifty, two-tone, pastel-pink, sandwich-style colors. The impressive large rhomb is 5.1 cm across and the crystals rest on a sparkly drusy quartz-covered sulfide matrix. This fine, three-sided piece displays well without aid. Dal'negorsk, like Tsumeb, is renowned for the quality and diversity of calcite and this is a good one from the 1990s-early 2000s heyday.
