Item Description
Intergrown clusters of hexagonal "towers" of nail-head manganoan calcite rhombs form a sculptural small cabinet from the November 2008 find at this well-known fluorite mine. The large crystal is 5.0 cm. The crystals have variable pretty light pastel-pink color, nubby prism faces and glassy, lustrous, smooth, trigonal terminations. The bottom of the scalloped matrix "skin" is peppered with tiny pyrites, as a bonus. All of the large crystals are pristine and the two smaller cleaved crystals in the front are certainly only a modest detraction. Bright neon-orange fluorescence.
