Item Description
Exceptional drusy crystal layer of Manganoan Calcite completely coating the surface of the matrix. The aesthetics of the shimmery, almost 'wet' appearance of the Mn Calcites are exquisite, and the fluorescence is an out-of-this world vivid orange. The botryoids average about 3-4 mm across, and are very uniform across the specimen. One of the best of these I have seen. Sometimes these are labelled rhodochrosite but when this pale pink AND fluorescent, we go with the mn-calcite member of the related series of species (although this has not been analysed)
