Item Description
Attractive and rather unusual combination specimen of two varieties of Calcite, along with micro-sized Andradite Garnets. These Garnets form ultra-thin layers on the matrix, and their yellow color is intensified by an almost metallic sheen - very unusual! tthis was analysed by Charlie Key to see what it actually was. The white Calcite is in partial or cleaved crystals up to .9 cm and the Manganoan Calcite, which really defines the piece, covers 50% of the specimen and the vein space with a sparkly drusy crust. Both Calcites are fluorescent. An aethetic and very interesting specimen.
