Item Description

An excellent specimen from the well-known Broken Hill, Australia locality. The beautiful "smithsonite-imitating" calcite balls have an engaging pearly luster that is so pleasing to the eye. The largest Calcite is about .4 cm across, with most about .3 cm in size. They are highly fluorescent (due to manganese in the calcite), and rest on a drusy Quartz matrix with brown underneath that provides a sharp, attractive contrast. An aesthetic miniature.
