Item Description
A pristine and sculptural 360-degree small cabinet "tulip bulb" of pretty pastel-pink manganoan calcite crystals. The translucent and lustrous intergrown elongated manganoan calcite crystals have striking stepped-growth nailhead terminations, adding character. The crystals on one side have a creamy clay coating adding more interest. Neon-orange fluorescence! This showy and excellent piece is from the 2012 find at the now famous (then, new!) remote Huanggang Mines of Inner Mongolia, China. STUNNING fluorescence is due to manganese within.
