Item Description
Purple (manganoan) adamite is one of the three Holy Grail species from Mina Ojuela, along with legrandite and scorodite. This aesthetic and beautiful thumbnail is crowned by a sharp, glassy crystal with a textbook chisel termination. The pretty, blush purple terminations are above the -pastel-yellow lowere section of the crystals. This outstanding thumb is from the one-time find in 1981 and is a competition quality example for this very desirable manganoan-adamite species (erroneously once though to be cobaltoan). Ex Dave Stoudt Collection. I would value this around $300-400 for the outstanding quality.
