Item Description

Purple (manganoan) adamite is one of the three Holy Grail species from Mina Ojuela, along with legrandite and scorodite. This aesthetic thumbnail is a single crystal row of sharply terminated, purple adamite crystals with pretty hues of yellow and pastel-green at the base of the crystals. The gemmy, highy lustrous crystals have textbook chisel terminations. This very fine, two-sided piece is from the one-time find in 1981 and is an outstanding example for this very desirable manganoan adamite species (erroneously once thought to be cobaltoan). Ex Dave Stoudt Collection. I would value this around $300-500 for the fine quality.
