Item Description
Manganite specimens from the historic Type Locality of Ilfeld are generally considered to be the worlds finest, as evidenced by the recent fine article in the Mineralogical Record. This showy and excellent miniature jackstraw cluster features splendent, striated, jet-black prisms to 2.0 cm. Classic, old-time material and comes with a probably 100-year old label, or older. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $500, five or more years ago.
