Manganite (superb!)

Specimens of manganite you would think to be plentiful in the rich manganese ores of the Kalahari. In fact, they are damned hard to come by. You see very few. In fact, before Charlie's collection, I cnanot say that I ever held a manganite from these rich manganese mines. The mineral must usually turn into other things, I suppose. But Charlie had a stash, among them this superb miniature of platy, thick manganite crystals to 1.6 cm in size. It is significant for the district for this species
