Item Description
RARE and sculptural form manganoan calcite from the famous N'Chwaning II Mine. The striking 3-dimensional bulb-like spray is composed of a multitude of pastel-pink, elongated, terminated crystals. The contact on the back is out-of-sight. It looks like classic a 3-dimensional spray of Kutnohorite, Ca-Mn-carbonate, but is manganoan calcite (Ca, Mn)-carbonate. Neon-orange fluorescence under both SW and LW UV light! Outstanding and rare material from the Collin and Helga Owen Collection of South Africa.
