Item Description

The renowned Franklin Mine is the Type Locality for this rare Axinite Group varietal. Lustrous, translucent, dark orange manganaxinite masses are scattered on the upper portion of the matrix along with rich pods of glassy, yellow to orange to brown andradite garnet. The fluorescent shot shows orange calcite in the matrix. An uncommon and showy example of the species from a major rarities collection.
