Item Description

A very good specimen of the rare Manganese-rich variety of Diaspore, composed of four crystals that range from somewhat complete to partial blades. The main 3 cm crystal stands vertically, the second largest crystal, also 3 cm, lies right behind it at right angles. Where well-exposed, the Mangan Diaspores have excellent, pearly luster and a fine rose color. These clean faces are probably cleavage surfaces, but they serve well to show the true color and luster. A good example of a hard-to-find species - in an unusually unbroken and complete crystal. .
