Malachite with Chrysocolla

A great display piece and a very attractive overall specimen from this famous mine. This was a find not too long back at the copper-rich L 'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of the Congo) that is strange and pretty and one can spend a good deal of time looking at it under magnification. Velvety, acicular green "needles" of Malachite are associated with soft blue to rich blue colored spherical groups of Chrysocolla. As I said, the piece looks great under magnification.
