Malachite with Chrysocolla

This specimen features some interesting Malachite and Chrysocolla from the famous copper deposits in the Katanga Copper Crescent. It has a unique exterior appearance and a pleasing contrast. The coolest part to me is the fact that there isn't a discernible line where the Chrysocolla stops and the Malachite begins or vice versa. Typically, we're used to seeing sky blue Chrysocolla with a distinct layer of dark green Malachite sitting on top, but this piece is certainly more of a mixture. This is a good quality piece of this fairly common material, but as is the case with many plentiful localities, eventually they run out, and even the average pieces become desirable, so pick up a good one here for a great price.
