Item Description
A rarely seen "Oval Cabochon" cut gem of Malachite with Chrysocolla from the Pisco Province of the Ica Department of Peru (possibly the Lily Mine). While this kind of material is more commonly seen from places like Arizona or the Congo, it's incredibly rare to find these stones from anywhere in Peru. This gem features richly colored green Malachite and greenish-blue Chrysocolla "bands" that run through the entire stone. The dark black zones could possibly be Tenorite. This stone came to us directly from our source in Lima, but they were not given a specific locality where the material was found. We hope to have more of these in the future, but sometimes this kind of material is short-lived, so don't miss out on this one if you collect this kind of material, or if you'd like to have this specific gem set into a pendant.
