Item Description

Malachite and Cerussite from Tsumeb are one of the most classic, and more difficutl to obtain associations. This piece features a few translucent, white/grey crystals of Cerussite sitting atop a velvety group of well-formed, beautiful green Malachite crystals replacing Azurite on matrix. A very attractive full sized miniature specimen, and good quality for the material. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems. This piece comes from the collection of Richard A. Kosnar, and his hand-painted catalogue number can be seen on the underside of the specimen. According to the label, the piece was the very first Malachite and Cerussite specimen that Rich catalogue in his collection, as it has a "1" attached to it. Valued at $750.
