Malachite stalactites on matrix

A dramatic curved 8.0 cm curved malachite stalactite "finger" dominates this very sculptural, large, strange biomorphic hand-shaped specimen from the famous copper mines of Kolwezi. The striking multiple stalactitic "fingers" are attached to the bubbly, botryoidal malachite "palm". Classic sparkly lustre highlights the rich green malachite. One broken stalactite in the palm and a bit of periphery wear are noted, but certainly have only minimal impact to the overall exceptional artistic quality of this excellent malachite. Valued at $2000. Not many this good have been available recently.
