Distinctive matched pair of sculptural, highly polished on both sides, malachite slices of intergrown stalactites from the famous mines of the Katanga Copper Crescent. The two matching faces have similar form, yet are dramatically different. The stalactite cores on one face have many more, striking dark green "speckles" within the greater number of lighter green cores. And the outside faces are similar, yet strikingly different with the lighter green interior and scattered speckles. The slab rinds are all there and their bases have been sawed. A captivating matched pair of malachite stalactite slices with highly unusual form. 334 grams mass for both slices.
