Item Description
Malachite, or any copper mineralization for that matter, is quite rare from Brazil over the whole scope of its geology. Specimens are few, and small, except from a few particular finds. This is not from the more commonly seen locale of Seabra, in this same state. The style and matrix (a heavy gangue ore matrix) are totally different. It is a beautiful large plate of shimmering velvety malachite that, when looked closely, is composed of tiny needle-like crystals. See also the oliveniteelsewhere in this auction set
